Birthday Girl & Giveaway!

Happy Monday everyone!!! How was your weekend? Mine was great.

Birthday girl

So, it was my birthday on last Friday. Yup! I’m older than last Monday now.

Didn’t make anything special this time. Only celebrated with husband and daughter. But I got something BIG from husband and my in-laws for this birthday. Literally BIG. It does not related to kitchen or craft. Na-ah. Can you guess?

A digital piano! Yes! I am so very lucky.

I used to learn piano when I was in junior high for 3 years or something. I had to stop because in senior high I became very busy and had to do so many chef training in different cities.

But lately, I listened to lots of piano music / songs and in one of my essay in the school I wrote that I miss to play piano again and I showed my essay to my husband so he can check it for me without thinking about the piano part.

And so last Thursday, there was a big package for my husband. But I could see the package said digital piano and I was like really?? Are you kidding me? I finally have my own digital piano? No way!

And soon after that husband messaged me not to open it until he gets home.
Then, after he gets home, he told me to lock my self in the kitchen or bedroom and do not go out until he tells me to. I didn’t mind, since I had to cook anyway.

After around 30 minutes he called me to go out from the kitchen. And there it was, my digital piano stood on an empty space in our living room. Welcome to the family my new friend :)

Don’t worry though, I will show you my new friend’s photo sometime this week :D

As for the food, I made my self a nasi kuning komplit (yellow rice with the side dishes). And a bit unusual birthday cake, mini croquembouche with lemon cream filling. Why croquembouche? Dunno, just felt like it. I will share the recipes in another blog posts :)

So, since I got a big present for my birthday, I want to share the happiness with a giveaway. This is my very first giveaway, although it’s not much but I still want to share a bit with all of you my awesome readers :)

My best birthday present ever would be the birth of my son! We planned for him and his birthday would actually fall in February and hubby’s birthday would be only a couple of days away from our son’s. Yet apparently he would love to be closer to mine instead his daddy’s so he was born 5 weeks early. We were first time parents, were dead scared of situation as I had to stay in the hospital, totally bed rest for a week to keep him inside my belly so that he would be strong enough to come out. Needless to say, it was a terrifying experience for all of us and doctors were monitoring us very closely. He was ‘forced’ to come out with induction, those who had experienced it would know, that it was just a huge pain when you had to have induction done :-/ But man, when he was placed on my chest, I was speechless and right away “Allahu Akbar” came out of my mouth :) A beautiful baby he was and still is and we are forever grateful. The 3 of us celebrate our b’days only within days from each other, January to February are always filled with extra happiness in this household :)))

Happy CAKE Day once again to you!

  2. Happy Birthday to you!!! One of my best birthday presents was a tent last year from my parents. It was a joint birthday gift to both my husband and I. This is our first tent and we love to camp. We’ve had many wonderful adventures in it and can’t wait to have even more! Email is kenleyleigh at gmail dot com!

My best birthday gift ever? hmmm… ah when I went for a holiday to Holland few year back, suddenly I received a special package from Indonesia which turns out to be a handmade letter made by my friends. It was super special not just because it’s handmade, but they also took the time to actually sent it to Holland.

I already like your page and share this giveaway on FB… *moga2 menang* *kepret monitor* ^^
