Strawberry Roll Bread

Strawberry and cream

A sweet recipe for late night snack.

In the previous post I posted rollย cake. This time is a roll bread. Maybe this bread-cream-fruit combination is not so strange in some country. But for me personally find it a little bit weird. A little bit skeptical about the taste even before I tried on making it. But I tried anyway ๐Ÿ˜›

Actually there’s a similar recipe to this one. Only in a sandwich form. It’s a recipe from Cooking with the dog. You can check it here.

By the way, I decided not to put HT on the title anymore. But you can find all the recipes from the show under Happy Together tag.

Strawberry Roll Bread

  • Servings: 2
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients:

  • 3 slices of bread
  • whipped cream
  • strawberry, sliced

How to:

  • Cut the brown edge of the bread.
  • Use rolling pin to flatten the bread.
  • Spread some whipped cream and sliced strawberry.
  • Roll. Serve.

Strawberry and cream

Result:

It doesn’t taste quite like a roll cake (duh! obviously!). And slightly dry.

Opinion:

One of the show’s emcee said, “it tastes a little bit like a roll cake, but of course I prefer a real roll cake”. I have to agree with him. Even if I’m craving for roll cake, I don’t think I want to eat this. And how often do you have a ready whipped cream at home? At least I never have any. I always use fresh cream. And I know I will never take out my balloon whisk or hand mixer in the middle of the night just to whip some cream for this roll bread.

  1. So cute! I guess this is the next best thing when you’re craving in the middle of the night. But yeah…I wouldn’t be whipping the cream in the middle of the night. Haha. Perhaps it would still be better to make roll cake and then eat that later

A nice comment will make my day ^^
